A cult in Rebuild 2 and Rebuild 3  that starts on the Concept of zombies and their "condition" being a gift. They will raise your survivors happiness , but they will act strange, not wanting to kill zombies, performing rituals or ceremonies with bodies of the undead, and will eventually embrace Zombieism , resulting in either a game over in rebuild 2, or survivor deaths in rebuild 3

Rebuild 2[]

  • "There's some controversery over a book one of our survivors has been writting called "The Zombie condition".  The autor glorifies the disease as a "gift" which upsets some people. Should we ban this book?"

if you ban the book, you can still get their ending. But for now, they are harmless and will give Hapiness.

after the previous event when you reclaim/build a church this report will appear;

  • "Our local writer (survivor name here) has finished another book which is taking (city name here) by storm. He/She wants to open a church where he/she can preach his/her ideas from the books. should we let him/her?"

The Church is formed from your decision here, it is still harmless. it's apparently teaching the survivors: " Zombieism isn't just a disease, it may be the key to humanity's future" this gives a +10 to hapiness.

If you click on the church instead of the prompt: "Assign someone to work here, increasing hapiness over time" is replaced by: "The church of the chosen one's controls this building now", and you cannot cancel the mission of preaching there. Their preacher turns into a NPC, will not rise happiness but still consumes his unit of food per day.

  • "The church of the Chosen Ones is requesting food to throw a party for a mexican day of the Dead honoring those passed. can we spare 30 food?"

saying yes will reveal that none of the food was actually eaten, but was used to decorate shrines to honor our loved ones, who "Still roam outside and are waiting for us to rejoin them." It may not feed your survivors, but at least it gives hapiness. Periodically.

  • "Some of our many leaders have started volunteering their free time at the church of the chosen ones."

This doesn't appear to effect your survivors, besides increasing hapiness. the church may be starting to get out of hand after this point. once per city;

  • "we all have so much to learn from (Survivor name here) he teaches that the zombies, which he/she calls the chosen people, are the true evolution of humanity and that we are like the dinosaurs, an extinct race of former titans"

A change in their beliefs, thinking Humanity evolves into zombies, or The chosen people. when assigning survivors to churches;

  • " (survivor name) has added more pro zombie messages to his/her regular sermon, to the joy of the church of the Chosen Ones."

some time later...

  • DISSENT AGAINST THE CHURCH "Some people are showing open dissent against the Church of the Chosen Ones, and we suspect they're plotting something. this could get ugly,. should we punish them?"

saying yes to punishing them, results in 2 of your survivors who resist the church dying, "and the last resistence against our Church ended with them. Rejoice!" This is the point of no return, beyond this you're doomed to the Church of the Chosen Ones ending, and your survivors will refuse to work in "Celebration" of their Chosen Breathern, "Why work when we can celebreate becoming one of the Chosen outside the walls?"  "Honor our brothers and sisters, The chosen ones will soon embrace us and make us like them" and so on

From here your survivors will start converting to being Chosen ones, the fort will slowly get smaller and smaller until only a few survivors remain,

if you said no to punishing them;

"(survivor name) has taught us that patience will bring an end to all things. so we will wait, and see what happens"

shortly after this;

  • OVERTHROW THE CHURCH "The Dissenters are confronting (Survivor name) with outside help from the riffs. They say the church is a suicide cult and either it goes or they do. should we overthrow the church?"

If you do, it stops the Church in the city, by the leader and 2 of their followers smearing Zombie blood into their cuts, mixing zombie blood in with their own, successfully turning them into zombies. "They were undead and loving it by the time we came calling. The church is no more.

If you don't overthrow the church, "Cult? i don't think so. we're all blissfully happy here thanks to (survivor name)'s wisdom and the blessing of the chosen ones (may they moan forever) the dissenters have left the fort." This'll result the same way as killing the Dissenters, just without violence.

Ending:

A cut scene starts off with the camera following a man in a red robes that walks toward a arch doorway frame that is shown to be completely white then the camera cuts to the other side of the doorway, which shows 7 (or 9 if you don't just count faces) men all in different colored suits looking outward and their backs facing the door as the man in red robes enters. The man's face is covered by the robe and he is looking downward, and stops before the edge of a platform. He then lifts up his hood, revealing his face slighlty which appears to have a scar under his left eye that extends far above the nose and a smile. He jumps off the platform and it shows the man being embraced and persumably devoured or turned by the undead.

The message says "On (Month) (Day) (Year) The last surviving citizens of (city name) attended the blissful state of Zombiedom. joining the chosen ones who now rule over the entire Earth.

May They Moan Forever... "

This results in a game over and you are unable to continue (but you can reload a save)
